Ann & Nick had the cutest little backyard wedding at the groom's family estate in Stevensville, and those of us who know the Bitterroot Valley know there is NO bad place for a wedding. The Bitterroot National Forest mountains made for the absolute perfect backdrop for their sunset photos.
Their wedding was the sweetest backyard wedding and wrapped up all of the comforts of home. Ann got ready at the couple's house that they built together. They are building a house AND a life together! You guysss!! I can't! The cuteness! Their ceremony arch was made from driftwood from a meaningful beach and their family friend (Garden City Floral! What I wouldn't GIVE to have them as a family friend!) even did their flowers.
When we met with them on their wedding day, they felt like old friends. After their Rock Creek engagement session, and hours of Ann and Kelsey gossiping about the wedding and making sure every detail was set just right (two type A queens up in here), we had gotten so attached to Ann & Nick. When the night came to a close, we hugged them goodbye and just knew that we'd always be friends.
After six years of dating, Ann was SO ready to tie the knot with her sweetheart (she might've been "subtly" dropping hints for the past three years). But Nick wasn't the kind to rush. "After all," he said, "we're basically married." One night while Nick is folding socks (he loves it, nobody knows why), Ann was putting away the laundry and she noticed that a sweatshirt was out of place as she opened the drawer. When she went to move the sweatshirt, out dropped her engagement ring! (insert socially acceptable freakout from our bride to be) In the sweetest of surprises, they were engaged!!
