Norah and Kyle are no strangers to national parks. When one of their friends got married at the ever-majestic Rocky Mountain National Park, they knew that this was the route they had to take for their own nuptials. They settled on Glacier National Park for its incomparable beauty (of course) and its practicality–the pair opted for an adventurous road trip honeymoon with the objective to visit more national parks. When it came to their wedding design, Norah and Kyle kept the motifs simple so as not to obstruct the grandeur of the park and its surroundings. Izaak Walton Inn acted as their venue and it is the cutest cabin-turned-wedding venue we’ve seen. The open floor plan and large windows gave way to the tranquility of the area. Although Honeybee Weddings has a plethora of Glacier-area wedding and elopements under their belt, we’re sure that photographing another one is always a breathtaking experience.
Nothing beats Glacier National Park the morning after a wedding! These two got married at the Izaak Walton Inn and wanted to adventure a bit more in one of their favorite National Parks. We decided to stop into McDonald Lodge, Trail of the Cedars, and of course take a twirl in Apgar. Jake and I LOVE photographing weddings and elopements in Glacier, but this cute little session was really special because the couple got to soak it in… THEY’RE MARRIED! Plus they were totally awesome. That didn’t hurt our feelings at all.
Advice from the Bride
Plan as much as you want, and have fun with it, but know that all the little things you’re worried about won’t even matter the day of – so don’t sweat it too much! We arranged our own flowers and sleeping in a frozen cold room full of flowers the night before was great – probably the best night’s sleep I had all week!
Advice from the Groom
Do whatever your wife says (he is laughing while he says this but means it!)! Delegate responsibilities and enjoy yourself. You’re only going ot see your spouse walking down the aisle once – don’t let anything else take away from that.
“Kelsey did double duty on our wedding as planner and photographer, and she knocked it out of the park!!! She’s kind, accommodating, fun, and so great at finding just the right vendors and helping keep communication going. Sarah, the coordinator who works with Kelsey and Jake, was great and just so sweet! And of course Kelsey and Jake’s photos were gorgeous! (Ok, the previews are but I’m sure the final group is too!!) Kelsey truly was like another bridesmaid, there to help and encourage and laugh alongside us all day. She just wore a different outfit complete with cameras! On top of it all, she and Jake got up at the crack of dawn the next day to take photos of us in our wedding getups out IN the park! Would definitely recommend Honeybee Weddings to anyone who needs planning or photography services!”
